hi, im trying to set up an old machine (pentium mmx) to be a wifi router. but there is a couple of things i cant figure out yet.

i made this script to enable the wireless network
(it should start wlan0 with the ip 192.168.1.1 and act as a dhcp server)

Code:
# cat /etc/rc.d/wlan666
#!/bin/sh

ifconfig wlan0 down
ifconfig wlan0 up
ifconfig wlan0 192.168.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.0
iwconfig wlan0 essid tokio
iwconfig wlan0 key open 1234567890
iwconfig wlan0 mode ad-hoc

/usr/sbin/dhcpd
/usr/sbin/sshd

and it works ok (i know i should add something like "iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o ppp0 -j MASQUERADE" to enable internet sharing, but im not getting that far for now)

but if run it from /etc/rc.d/rc.local it doesnt work (the wlan0 gets an 169.xx.xx.xx ip)

someone could point me what im missing?

(if i run the script when i log in everythings works)

tnx in advance
