Puppeee

#1 Post by fishvetmj »

Hi. I'm a Puppy Linux user, and am trying to install Puppeee to an SD card to use on my eeepc 701 4g. Can someone walk me through the process? I've downloaded the ISO, burned the image to a CD, booted into it on my regular laptop, and successfully installed it on a USB flash memory stick which I've made bootable.... it works well . However, when I try and do the same with a 2G SD card (using a USB cardreader to install the programme from the CD), the programme boots OK on the eee, but when I finish the session and try and safe to a pup_save.2fs file (512mb), it takes AGES (an hour?) and eventually crashes the card which has subsequently become unusable.

Help!

Users of large SD card usually partition it to <1 G for the first partition and keep it as FAT16 for booting.

You can try gparted if it can still read and partition your SD card.
