Cannot use Wi-Fi

#1 Post by doggitydogs »

I have Puppy Linux 4.00 installed on a Compaq Armada M300 with 4 GB hard disk space and 128 MB RAM.

I cannot get my PCMCIA 802.11G cardbus to work!
I cave an Airnet AWN108 108mbps wireless 802.11G PCMCIA cardbus.
The drivers for this are built in to Ubunto variants--I tried installing Xubuntu, but that just sucks up my resources.

I just set up Puppy Linux today. Could someone please help?

It's all about the chipset.

If you'd Google'd on linux Airnet AWN108, you'd found several entries mentioning Atheros chipset. In Puppy this means trying the ath_pci module.
