What types of programming language support are you considering? I ask as I am mostly interested in programming in cobol. However, others here are into java, c++, lisp, and fortran. So, I guess that might help to build a base to begin work with..
The only windows I have are those on my home.

Xampp goes into puppy is so easily that a seperate version for Php mysql apache is superfluous.

I did create 'Photon'
http://tmxxine.com/wik/wikka.php?wakka= ... xinePhoton

with the following spec:
  • Puppy 3.01 retro
    Assembler, C, C++ GNU compilers
    - C, C++ compilers
    Python Script language
    Java Powerful JDK and JRE 6.3 for running and compiling java applets and classes
    Netlogo AI Logo modeling environment for simulating natural and social phenomena
It was not a success - required too much work to develop
beyond the unstable alpha release . . .

So If you are serious I would suggest
taking the latest developer devx.sfs for 4.00 or 4.1 Alpha 4
http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/dis ... 4.1alpha4/
that will give you C/C++/FreeBasic
then add the languages you can get working
- you then have an SFS that can be added to other puplets . . .

This Python GUI collection might be nice . . .
