Puppy consists of 2 to 4 files:
vmlinuz The Linux kernel
initrd.gz The initial ramdisk.
msy_083.sfs This has all the Puppy files (sometimes inside initrd.gz).
(some builds have a usable subset of drivers in msy_083.sfs)
If you booted Puppy from a live-CD, those files will be on it.
Otherwise, they are in the .iso file and can be extracted -- in that case, you will need to select the directory where you have extracted them to.
Please do NOT use a path with any spaces!!!

da ich versehentlich schon mal full installiert hatte wundert mich warum es nicht funktioniert.

ja und nun bin ich mit meinem "latein" am ende
es ist ein fenster offen welches
links Ordner und rechts Dateien
oben ein butten /root und unten ein eingabefenster Auswahl: /root

jetzt frage ich mich warum die full instalation fast von allein ging,
ich auch noch frugal h]tte dr@cken k[nnen,

aber jetzt wo ich es will, es nicht zu stande bringe.

Du kannst ja auf"directory" anstatt CD klicken.
Dann /mnt/XXX wählen, wobei XXX der Gerätenumer Deines CDRoms entspricht.
Um zu cecken, weshalb er die CD nicht erkennt, müsste ich den Code genauer angucken, das geht nicht auf die Schnelle.

Danke fuer deinen Tipp,
konnte mit gtkfind
/initrd/mnt/tmpfs/msy_083.sfs
finden.

Nach der Auswahl ueber Directory folgt folgendes Fenster:

Puppy Universal Installer

The MBR ( Master Boot Record) in the USB drive is Probably okay as-is, so chosse the first Option. However, if you cannot get the drive to boot, and you are sure that the BIOS settings are not to blame and the PC is capable of booting from USB, then try one of these alternative MBRs.
Note, if you choose to change the MBR, the old first 446 Bytes (the bootstrap loader part) of the MBR will be backed up to /tmp/oldmbr.bin
Note, you can install these MBRs directly, without running this Installer program again: the are located in /usr/lib/syslinux, and you can use the dd program to copy them.
Example: dd if=spb2_mbr.bin of=/dev/sdb
Note, personally I have had success with mbr.bin.

So, ich gehe das jetzt erstmal uebersetzen,
villeicht reicht ja schon eine Maschienenuebersetzung .

edit:

Grub Bootmanager eingerichtet.
Gparted, entsprechende Partition als Boot geflagt.
Auf USB-Stick installiert.
