Hello everyone,
While I search for a GUI program to do this, for now here is a easy way to convert m4a music files to wav.
First open in "ROX" the folder were you have you m4a music files.
Now open another "ROX" window and navigate to usr/bin and find the bin file called faad.
Now simply drag and drop you m4a files on to the faad file in /usr/bin and with in a second or so a converted wav file will appear next to the original m4a file in that folder. Simple hey!

Hello aragon & tempestuous,
Thank you for you link to PawdioConverter but it didn't give m4a or aac as an option so couldn't convert?

PawdioConverter-1.2 has both m4a and aac listed.

Hello Everyone,
I found this script that works with "zenity" which allows the converting of m4a files into MP3's etc see screenshot.
I have put this script and zenity in a tar.gz file for anyone who wants to experiment.
Just place the tar.gz in / and unzip then navigate to usr/bin and drag the file called "audio-convert" to your desktop and when needed just drag the music file you want to convert on top of "audio convert" and then the box you see in the screenshot will appear.

Please note that this works with TEENpup 2.14 and 2008 I don't know if it will work with other puppy versions as there may be some dependencies missing.

Update: you can also drop wav files on to it as well and convert them to say mp3

Hello trapster,
I was missing the "faac" package. I now have access to m4a and aac in PawdioConverter. Thanks!
