partimage on Puppy

#1 Post by barrydrake »

Hi .... I'm new to Puppy (and quite excited about it). I'm not new to Linux. I've created a Pup on an SD card ( and saved it to an iso). It has partimage on it. For those who have never used partimage, it is an excellent rescue tool for backing up and restoring entire partions from anywhere to anywhere.

To create it, I had to install libslang2, libpam0g, libnewt0, libssl0, libc6, and zlib1g as well as partimage.

Question: I can't understand the process for making this into a Pet that I can share. Can someone patiently talk me through what I need to do? (or even repeat it from the above list)?
Regards, Barry

All you might need to know about .PET packages can be found here:

Welcome to the kennels. I hope that helps.
