Wireless on Eee PC with wNop 0.2

#1 Post by distortedstar »

I am really digging the wNOP distro. Nothing like compiz on the eee! But I can't get wireless to work. I tried loading the windows driver through ndiswrapper with the wizard, but it still doesn't find the interface! Ideas?

Try using the packages on this page:

I have had success with them on the Eee with wNOP. The madwifi driver—the first post there—gives you wireless, and there are some other drivers on that page for the ethernet and webcam.

Edit: My mistake. Use the links further down this thread instead.

Thanks for the reply! I tried those packages but for some reason, even after reboot, my wireless is still not recognized. :(

Hmm maybe try this one:

I think this was the post I meant to send instead:

It's by dvw86 detailing all the drivers and stuff to make Puppy work well on the Eee.

Bad call. Those are the drivers I provided for Puppy versions 2.12-2.16 with 2.6.18.1 kernel.
But wNOP is based on Puppy3.x with 2.6.21.7 kernel, so the correct drivers are here -

Yep, those are exactly the same drivers mirrored by dvw86.
