PokerTH

#61 Post by Don64 »

I have Puppy 4.0 and downloaded the PokerTH.zip file and unzipped it in my applications folder. clicked on the pokerth.sh. It runs GREAT!!!!

http://www.pokerth.net/
download section for 0.6.3
click on PokerTH-0.6.3-linux.zip
No Installer: just run "./pokerth.sh" (32bit)

I'm not affiliated with them. I just enjoy the game.

Hi lobster, yes I think It should be included in the main release with xsoldier which is already included :)
sources are located at
http://xinvaders3d.sourceforge.net/ Any game is hackable for sound if you know code :) I wish they would hack xsoldier also, maybe with galga sounds and X-invaders with space invaders sound, that would be cool.

Sorry Tttuuxxx, did see that site but mistook it and some other sites for Windows or binaries only.
It may not be that straightforward . . .
Barry did mention about someone hacking the code xsoldiers but no one rose to the channel - I may have seen something about the difficulties involved or may have imagined it.

I also have to agree with ttuuxxx. Clicking on the link takes you to the above site.
And if I select 'Save link target as' I get a downloaded file with the correct name, but the pet fails to install. I tried renaming the extension to 'tgz' and opening it and I get compression format not recognized.
Also, when I tried to install it as a pet, I was told I should do a manual cleanup of the failed install in /root/.packages.
That directory would show the file, not as a list of the files in the package, but as a 'tgz' file that was also corrupted.
This seems to be happening with all the game files on the above site.

These files were uploaded to a norwegian free server (start.no) which now has been closed. It seems the world is going commercial. Good we have Puppy. My files are now stored on caneris server puppylinux.asia, but I wouldn't link these games there, since they are not my packages originally. Most of them are built by muggins, and are placed somewhere in space .... Possibly on puppylinux.asia as well.

They should all be searchable, on the forum, under Additional Software section.

Yes muggins but that is a bit of a pain, Maybe Zigbert can just upload them all on the forum, or on puppylinux.ca and fix the links, They all should be in one common place.

I have a rather fresh Puppy 4 and got these errors :

Code: Select all

# xshisen
./xshisen: error while loading shared libraries: libXaw.so.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I have the same error. libXaw.so.7 installed on my system (puppy 421 from live cd).
What can i do about it?

Open a console & enter:

Code: Select all

ln -s /usr/X11R7/lib/libXaw.so.7 /usr/X11R7/lib/libXaw.so.8
or:

Shishensho or Pysolfc.

Thanks.
Trying everything right now to see what works best.
My previous search didn't result in the links you give here.
Should have remembered how to link though, am getter older and more forgetful.
