well being that dingo just came out (based off T2 frame work) i think i'm going to give it a go... i really like puppy linux and i checked to see, and there are sucesses with a full install working on similar system requirements... my only true concern is getting wireless working... when i have time sometime soon i think i'm going to give it a go.... oh an interestingly enough touchscreen functions are already integrated.

however, I'm pretty much a newb, so expect some really stupid questions shortly... my first one concerns the bootloader... puppy linux has its own type of booting... how will the bootloader from jlime (being as thats the one i have) will work with this... ie where does it look to boot from? another question would be teh kernel stuff... like i know the jlime crew was having some issues with sound and stuff, i can only assume this is do to the kernel not having j720's hardware support... so am i doomed for this little test than since presumably puppy will not have em either?

wish me luck.

ok an update... i spent an entire day just trying to get the bloody thing to go on the card... spend most of my time bewildered by the dingo "failed sanity check"... the more and more i looked at it... the more i understood how my sanity was decreasing... anyway after doing a round about way to get the files on (which i'm not even sure worked; cp -pR) it was time to see if the bootloader would work... the kernel that comes with puppy was an absolute no go... locked machine and needed a hard reboot (those unfamiliar with j72X's, taking out the battery)... tried the old kernel supplied by the familiar linux build (2.4.35.3), this would start to boot then a long string of repeated errors... (failed to exec /sbin/modproge -s -k bindfmt-464c, errno = Cool, google turned up something to do with kernel, which i figured was the issue... then went to try the vanilla jernel the jlime team is working on, however they don't use an intrid.gz file... so.. any ideas people?
