By using this procedure in Puppy 4.00 I was able to show the following in the lower right-hand corner of the tray -
- day of week in short form
- day of month
- month in short form
- hour, minute, second, AM/PM

1) Click on "file" in the upper left-hand corner of the desktop - it looks like a house

2) Click on the eye to show the hidden files

3) Scroll down to .jwmrc-tray and make a copy of the file. A good name to give the copy is .jwmrc-tray.bak It's best to have a copy of the file .jwmrc-tray as it must be modified, and you will need the copy if you make a mistake.

4) Open the file .jwmrc-tray and delete the third line from the bottom which reads <Clock>minixcal</Clock>

5) copy <Clock format="%a %d %b %r ">xclock</Clock>

and paste it into the space previously occupied by Clock>minixcal</Clock>

6) Save the changes to file .jwmrc-tray

7) Click on Menu - Shutdown - Restart JWM

You should now have the information in the tray.
