WINE 1.0 RC4 PET & SFS Subject description: wine-1.0-rc4-i686.pet & wine-1.0-rc4-i686_400.sfs |
|
Seems there are some bugs in my release. I've disabled the downloads while I fix the packages. please be patient while I work on this.
Here is the latest Version of Wine in both PET & SFS packages.
WINE 1.0 RC4 i686 PET
13.49 Mb
WINE 1.0 RC4 i686 400 SFS
13.62 Mb
You shouldn't need the following libraries anymore, but leaving them if you do.
libesd0-2.38.pet
17.61 Kb
libgphoto2-2.4.0-i386.pet
768.74 Kb
libgphoto2_port0-2.4.0-i386.pet
92.52 Kb
libhal1-0.5.9.1-i386.pet // needed by libgphoto2_port0-2.4.0-i386.pet
361.04 Kb
Next you want to make sure you have OpenLDAP installed. with Puppy 3.01 this package is installed by default. If it is, you should just need a couple symlinks.
I will be adding these symlinks soon to take this step out of the setup.
Just run the following commands;
# cd /usr/lib/
# ln -s libldap-2.3.so.0.2.20 libldap_r-2.3.so.0
# ln -s liblber-2.3.so.0.2.20 liblber-2.3.so.0 // this one was already correct for me by default.
Also wineHQ also recommends a couple additional packages not on by default for slackware installations, which puppy does have a slackware12 core.
esound-0.2.38-i486.pet which I have available for download on my site,
116.43 Kb
sane-1.0.18.pet which is available from the puppy package manager.

I see wine 1.0rc1 is available for download - just wondering if you could package it up.
Thanks,

stevenbinion,
Thank you for the packages, especially for SFS editions.
I kept /root/.wine directory from wine 1.0rc1 and tried wine-1.0rc2-i486_400.sfs in Dingo 4.01 and it works fine with all Windows programs that I use without installing any other package.
There was a small problem to enable it to be loaded at startup. It wasn't shown in BootManager list box until I renamed it to wine10r2.sfs.

Just tried out ver. RC4 with a windows game. The game did not run. (It ran in RC3). I ran the game from the command line, and the errors that came up look like this build of WINE was compiled without OpenGL support.

I tried to run the included internet explorer from wine and got a blank internet explorer page with the message:
HTML page rendering disabled
Now I am at a loss.
this is the closest I have come to get IE to run.
Insight needed.
