It was all good until I left it with some folks who USED to be my friends. Wiped their Windows machine with smug confidence, Installed 3.01, Firehydrant, and Hacao (they are Vietnamese) and showed it to all the non-english speakers. Amazing. But just wait til you see Vietnamese TV on the internet! I crowed.
That was a week ago. No TV. No Internet. And the Reuglar 10/100 doesn't even show up now. 88E8036 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Card.
Well, I ndiswrapped the BCM43xxx from Brroadcom. No Go.
So I tried the wifi switch trick (FN + F2), unloaded the driver, reloaded, turned on...NO DICE.
So I plugged my Intellinet USB dongle in. (RT73) HAWWWWW! Not a chance!
Tried the new kernel. Latest release 4.0 Seamonkey. Nothing.
Gave up and put Ubuntu. Same problem.
OpenSuse. Same thing.
FREESPIRE.......PRESTO! Works like a charm. Go figure.
