another browser change for Chihuahua?

#1 Post by tronkel »

I've just had a play with Firefox Beta 5. It's looking very good.
Fast page navigation plus interface changes, fixed memory leakage. They say it's faster than Opera, and I think that's true. I think I'll put it in the next Chihuahua Alpha unless there are strong opinions as to why I should not.

I also want to make a Lassie sfs module for OpenOffice 2.4.
I've mislaid my rpm2tgz package, which I would need to use to build this.

To save time, does anyone know where I can download this from?

Thanks

Tronkel

The 4th Beta was already good. The new one continues to improve.
I am finding more sites that expect or require firefox for plug ins.
I believe the final version of Firefox 3 is on track - so why not. I say go for it. 8)

@Dingo

Thanks for that. I won't bother to do that since it's already been done.

If anyone has had problems with the menu and URL bars in Firefox Beta being too small, here are two lines of code for your userChrome.css file that sits in the chrome folder belonging to your profile in the /root/.mozilla folder.
* {font-family: DejaVu !important;}
* {font-size: 12pt !important;}
This will be handy for Firefox Beta 5 as well.
