This is a small Editor I wrote in wxBasic.
You can set the color of the Textarea to any color you like in the options.
You can choose your own colors for the Syntax-Highligting.

Tuxtexter has a list on the left, that shows all subs and functions, if you edit Code.

In the options you can set own keywords in addition to "sub" and "function", for example "class" or "#note"

If you use"#note", you could use it as a kind of "bookmark" for your texts (#note 1 , #note 2).

This makes it easy to navigate through longer texts, not just code.

Requires wxBasic: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=11734
Please use preferebly this latest version of wxBasic:
http://dotpups.de/dotpups/Programming/WxBasic-2.5.pup

Dotpup:

I added a screenshot, that shows that it works fine with dark themes, too.

I updated the dotpup.

It fixes the crash that appeared, when you clicked on the cancel-button in the search-dialog.

I also uploaded a newer version of wxBasic (2.5):

Tuxtexter a a simple editor.
If you need a more complex one, have a look at wxEditor:
