hmm...that had a brief period of pupularity....I think playing with the initrd.gz put people off.
Bootsplash actually can attach a boot image and info to a pre made initrd.gz....also needs the kernel patched to use it...hmm

As for a thread.... images plus premade files using a generic puppy template (as you made for me)...easy enough for people to contribute Smile.

For my demo I added a line in help saying that ESC allows access to the advanced grub features...ie the original menu....might be a good idea
