Well someone requested a pinball game that worked on puppy, So I spent a few hours trying to find one, I found one as a rpm package and all the files and directories were messed up, So I rearranged everything to work properly on puppy and boom it worked. You don't need any additional drivers or anything at all to run this game other then the 20MB file size:)
well hope you enjoy it, Also that same person asked for some good quality graphic card games.Well thats another story.

Code:
./Rollemup: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.2.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Hopefully just a minor tweak for a pinball fan. Do you have any idea?

Sigmund

Looks like a missing library file. simple to fix, what version of puppy did you try it on? I was using 3.0.1 clean and live. Without any errors.

do you have enough onboard memory for the game? because not often does a game play and then pause/froze .
maybe start it by command line and see if your missing any libraries.
ttuuxxx.
also i'll make a patch for the one missing library so far

Here's what I think is a better alternative -it's both opensource and much smaller than the program above. This (emilia) pinball program uses sdl libs which should be in your pup already.

Rollemup has been favorite of mine for years. Its old, made back in the 2.2 linux kernel era. Made for a Dutch beer company, thus all the beer cans and bar stools on the game board. Had ports for windows, beos, mac, and maybe OS/2, cant remember on last. The licensing is unknown.

I am surprised you found an rpm, only download I know is from some site in Australia and its linked in the Puppy Wiki. The link on that site for the library is dead. Here is tarball from my hardrive libstdc++.so.2.8.1.1 that works with Rollemup. Extract it to /usr/lib and then create simlink in same directory libstdc++.so.2.8 Have to do this as for some reason Rollemup gets upset if its anything but that.

amigo,

I thought someone had already made a package for emilia pinball, but I haven't located it...unless this one, on Mu's site is it:

http://dotpups.de/dotpups/Games/pinball.pup

Edit: It was made by Mark, from this thread:

I also found a Pepsi pinball game, Its very realistic I included, Its a flash game just extract, then click on it and it should open, If not do the right-click "Open With" and select default browser.

For ease of use and installation the Pepsi Pinball game works fine and is a good time waster. Thanks
