Does anybody know how to use gfxmenu in grub? I believe that this makes grub menu attractive.
I have SAM Linux (PCLos Derivative) that installed grub with gfxmenu and I use this for Puppy versions also. This looks much more attractive than the regular grub menu's.
I tried the grub install that comes with Puppy, but I was not able to enable gfxmenu option in this menu.lst. I manually edited to include gfxmenu, but this did not work.
Any help is appreciated.
How to use gfxmenu in grub?
I would also like to know if it is possible to use gfxmenu for Puppy.
On another machine running PClinuxOS and WindowsXP
I have the following in menu.lst
timeout 10
color black/cyan yellow/cyan
gfxmenu (hd0,1)/usr/share/gfxboot/themes/tinyme/boot/message
default 3
title linux
kernel (hd0,1)/boot/vmlinuz BOOT_IMAGE=linux root=/dev/hda2 acpi=on splash=silent vga=788
initrd (hd0,1)/boot/initrd.img
title linux-nonfb
kernel (hd0,1)/boot/vmlinuz BOOT_IMAGE=linux-nonfb root=/dev/hda2 acpi=on

PCLinux has an easy to follow , user friendly installation wizard. But wont run half as fast as Puppy on an older machine
