You must give us more info. What did you do to install it. What doesn't it do? Give us the steps you took.

Hi, I have never posted here before so please forgive me in advance.

In order to get Boinc running you need to do the following;
1. Download the software
2. Chmod the script so you can execute. This will create a sub-directory called BOINC
3. Create an account for the Boinc project you wish to attach to. There are multiple projects but I normally donate CPU cycles for SETI. Skip this part if you already have an account created.
4. Execute the 'boinc_cmd' script with the --help option to give you everything you need.

I have been running BOINC on my puppy pc at home for over 6 months now. I also run 3 puppy virtual instances, with BOINC, on my HP B45p blade server in the office.

The simplest way I have found, is to use the version of the software that has the GUI.

Cheers
Anthony

I am trying to us this on a PUppy linux system with version 2.15ce, I have 256 Mb of ram 40 gb hard drive

When I ran the install it created a directory. and I attempted to invoke the boinc program file or at least I thought I picked the correct one. But nothing happened in the command window.

The file stdoutdae.txt has information that will be relevant to your problem.
If you can find this file and attach it to the thread, that would be useful.

Some questions as well.

Are you attached to a BOINC project?
Check to see if a process similar to 'setiathome-5.27.i686-pc-linux-gnu' is running. Sometimes a lockfile is left hanging around that causes problems.

The only programs to run are
boinc_cmd (Command line setup, configuration, stats, etc)
run_client (runs the BOIC process when you have completed the installation - this is for command line only)
run_manager (will give you a gui to work with assuming you are running an X server)

Puppy 3.01, HP Pavilion with 256MB Ram, 40GB HDD.
