Installing GIMP with PETget, where do I find librsvg-2.so.2? |
|
I tried to install GIMP with the PETget utility... when it ran a dependency check, it came back with:
| Code: | These dependencies required by gimp-2.2.11 package are missing:
File /usr/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/svg has these missing library files:
librsvg-2.so.2
The PETget package manager does not know what package/s has/have these libraries. |
Where do I find and download librsvg-2.so.2?

If you want more libraries, try this link
http://www.puppylinux.ca/ttuuxxx/Libs/
You can also use the modules from slackware. Just rename *.mo (modules) to *.sfs.
Example: Rename gimp*.mo to gimp*.sfs and put it on the /mnt/home
I tried it using dingo5. It ask no more libraries.
goodluck.

Interesting. Currently, on dokupuppy I have made a little list
- http://puppylover.netsons.org/dokupuppy/doku.php/slax_modules
of slax modules working on Puppy (I use 3.01)
I use these slax modules mounting as described. I can use also renaming from .mo to sfs? All modules? and once I have renamed, where these files will be showed?

Hi, these are the modules I tested so far with luck with no libraries dependencies.
- openoffice-en-us-2.3.mo
- Gimp-2.2.16.mo
All of them were extracted from nimblex.iso a slackware kind of linux.
I will test some of them soon.
I am not expert in linux but i am proud to be a puppy linux user.
Thanks to all.
