Ventrillo server trouble

Hey all, very new to Linux and trying to get vent working.
Using puppy and have opened a console and set the directory to where my ini file is.
ask console to launch vent "ventrilo_srv" and get.

"unable to open configuration file ventrilo_srv.ini
ERROR: unable to read configuration data. 'Exiting'"

Is there something wrong with my config file? I looked in it and everything seemed to be fine.
Thank you all for any help, the answer is probably quite obvious but I'm still in the early learning stage of Linux.
