mount usb flash drive in picopup

I cant mount jetflash drives(usb) in picopup..which i booted in pendrive eventhough i mounted cdrom but usb couldnt

It shows error message like
mounting /dev/sda1 on /mnt/usb failed:No such devices or address.

How to mount Usb,how to uncompress the image.gz...
