via unichrome on pup3 Help wanted.

#1 Post by tony »

Hi,

I have via unichrome with xorg7.2.

glxgears -v gives direct rendering=yes.

However running flightgear gives poor graphics, shown in this screenshot of glxgears.

An image is left behind when the window is moved on the screen.

Help would be appreciated. Is it curable or should I go for a new video card?

Regards Tony.

I do not think it shows anything overly wrong with your setup- the gears program demos speed in frames per second. Cleaning up the screen would slow it down and not be a good measure of the top speed you are able to get. If you do not move it, does it disappear on close. If not then I would be concerned.
By the way good FPS  I wish my old unichrome box could do so well.

Improved playback for DVDs & video

#3 Post by Ted Dog »

MU has a old but gold unichrome-xine DOT pup which I would recommend to vastly improve playback. For example I have a 8 yr/old laptop that would run less than a third your FPS and full speed, full screen playback has no hiccups with his DOTpup.
Let me know if you can't find it I have a copy on my puptrix.org website, but the link has dropped from my memory. :?

Thank you both for coming back so promptly.

Have tried the dotpup but no change.

Here is a screenshot of HelicopterSearchandRescue.
