Latest YAP will turn any Puppy or Puplet from aprox Puppy 2.10 to Dingo and beyond into a Shrine / Meditational focal point

Added Shingon Shinobi hand mudra routine
http://tmxxine.com/yap/yap.tgz

There are now 3 Shingon practices
Elemental Meditation - Mind
Mudra - Body
Shingon Chant - Speech
Traditionally these practices have been esoteric
(hidden) as I found them on YouTube I think
they might now be termed exoteric :D

There are two cyber blessings from Tibetan monks
and two practices associated with female Buddha Tara
and one with Vajrasattva

There is extensive help introducing
  • Buddhism
    Shrine Building
    and meditation
Details - this contains an Alpha release with an early YAP
http://tmxxine.com/wik/wikka.php?wakka= ... xineVision

Available as an Alpha ISO. . .
Not suitable for every day usage - testing and code suggestion only

thanks for the temptations
I will use them as an astral offering . . .

Hope to add flowers, candles and fragrance. Does the Buddha like that sort of thing? No idea.

He died. I cooked him.

Those voices raise issues: does rainbow body require pants, has Elvis left the Universe?

This could inspire a whole series of visions. Some I don't care to imagine. (This being the Internet, I don't have to.)

What powers are you unleashing, Lobster?

To quote a late, much-lamented British leader: "I beseech you, in the bowels of Christ, think it possible you may be mistaken.."

Not even between breaths . . .
Cthulhu seems cute.
has Elvis left the Universe?
Which universe?
What powers are you unleashing, Lobster?
That is easy to answer. Power is a delusion created by tacit agreement.. Yinyana is not designed to invoke
but to outvoke. So you could certainly worship an octopus, chihauhau
or a deity of your preference . . .

The above image is running on version 3 of Alpha 5 Dingo.
I was hoping to work from Dingo but it is still too early . . .

I am starting to write some software which you can see bottom left
of the Dingo default. :D

Running from Muppy Mini, I have added Frankincense and an ioniser
and a Shingon chant . . .

the software is now in development here

Is there no way to deter you?

This is operating at only a fraction of its true potential.

Have you even considered what it would do on an HP OM-nibook?

how can an "enlightened" puplet be running any window manager other than Enlightenment?!?!!?

seriously, it's time for an E17 pup. And I don't mean one themed after that crappy boy band of the 90's.

I'm quite excited about a Buddhist puplet.

:D
Good idea!
However . . .
. . . calling something enlightened does not make it so
Just as the band "Nirvana" are not all Nirvanic
(you knew that right?)
I would suggest that Xfce is more of the real feel of enlightenment . . .

However an "Enlightened Puppy" is certainly worthy to run an Alter :)
I'm quite excited about a Buddhist puplet
Here is the latest pic

Image

Tara (A Buddha babe) likes water, tea and beer
So you might find that on my Alter . . .
I also provided her with an orange in case she is peckish

You might also see some Xtian symbols coming in
Chalice and the Rose of the Rosy Cross

In YinYana Buddhism we are quite happy for
Christians to meditate, Jews to avoid guilt
Moslems to avoid pork
and atheists to do Nothing to their Hearts content

:)

Will you set up a shrine? (really just a meditation focal point)
If so I will provide a download as soon as possible . . .

At the moment I am concentrating on the Shrine/Alter software
and trying to make this run on most 2.xx Puppys and Puplets

This way you can have your torma* and eat it

May all Beings Benefit
(even the fish")

*torma - Blessed oat cake
*Fish are a symbol for the enlightened (their eyes always being open)
as well as an early Christian symbol (and good on toast)

Pity about the small disturbing "hummmm" from these wee SP-380 speakers. I know, that's what I have too...

yes they do hum . . .
I will change them soon

This morning I had the slideshow running
some soundfile playing
candles blazing away
- very peaceful . . . :)

The fixup dotpet which rerwin has made and posted in the
Dingo alpha6 feedback/bugs
thread also is needed for 'Vision'

Also, freememapplet in the system tray when right-clicked on does not bring up the partition freespace et cetera menu.

Aside from these two petty qualms, it is pretty and the speed when run from live-CD on a P3-900 with 256MB of RAM is impressive.

Another quirk; .sfs files created in tmxxine-vision, cannot be mounted in Puppy 2.17.

Not trying to discourage you, Ed! I infinitely prefer the spare, minimalistic "simple original Puppy menu" look of the alpha-5 version! It feels good to not have to drag the save window up and to the left, just to see the Save button every time I save a webpage! It just needs the usual wrench work of an alpha, that's all.

 Trying very hard to understand what you are referring to . . .

The image with the 5 elements is not part of the menu. It is
a concentration exercise
. . . a flash file running in Opera
Is that what you are referring to? :)
You can run it from any browser here . . .
http://www.tmxxine.com/shrine3/elements.swf

The next Vision version is likely to use Phoenix, Lassie (Puppy Community Editions)
or Dingo (Puppy 4) and as soon as I work out how to do a .pet
- the dir2pet command is not working for some reason
(forget how or why at the moment)

I will release YAP which is the main component of Vision and about 18MB
as soon as the .pet or .pup creation method returns to my addled mind :?
Maybe I need to do some memory enhancement meditations? 8)
YAP should now run on most types of 2-4 series Puppies

:)
