Tux, if u can show me a link to the goggles DVD player, I'll give it a go for the next version. Can either be a pet or a directory package.

Here ya go buddy, Its super small and works excellent on older pc's . Only plays DVD's nothing else. But the nice thing about it, is that its so small the play-back is really good. See some older pc's that will be using 2.16ce can play divx or xvid on regular players, vlc, xine, mplayer etc, but when it comes to dvd's they can't. The picture is choppy or full screen doesn't work right, etc. So then Goggles comes to town and fixes that up for them. Hey if you install it in the next version, maybe select in the setup to automatically play dvd's. Thats a excellent option that would have to be enabled. basically you stick a dvd in and one click of a icon and boom it plays. nothing else.
well have fun ttuuxxx

Was this package built for Puppy 3.01?

I've downloaded ttuuxxx's pet package for goggles and installed it as a Pet package into both Puppy 2.16CE_ Home and 3.01Retro.

In neither of these versions could I get goggles to run. Problem seems to be with ogle. I think there are missing required libraries in 2.16CE also. Could even be a kernel problem.

Terminal output from 3.01 retro:
goggles

In the meantime, Mplayer will play DVDs. Goggles does look very good though. Need repackaging for 2.16CE probably.
