I've found myself in a bit of a bind converting from Sylpheed to Thunderbird as my email client. Importing my existing address book is the problem, as Sylpheed uses XML format and Thunderbird's import only does LDIF, *.tab, *.csv or *.txt.
Particulars: Sylpheed v2.2.7 ---> Thunderbird v2.0.0.9
Any of the resident brainiacs here care to educate me? Thanks in advance (I hope, I hope, I hope ...).
Is there an app to convert XML address book file to LDIF?

I haven't seen an XML contact list, and I haven't used thunderbird in a long time, but I do know the basics of CSV.
Surely they're both just text files, so wouldn't a bash script be more than enough. I don't know of anything to do it, but I can't see any reason you shouldn't be able to parse the XML and spew it out in csv format.
