TEENpup next version will be called TEENpup 2008

#1 Post by john biles »

Hello everyone,
I have been working on the next TEENpup most days a hour here and there, testing different applications and it should be released in January.

What I now plan to do is release a new version every 6 months to a year, that's why it will be called TEENpup 2008

The next version will still be based on Puppy 2.14 to keep TEENpup compatable with older hardware that has been causing problems with the Puppy 3 series.
All going we with testing, TEENpup 2009 will be based on the Puppy 3 or 4 series.

Because of the high number of downloads from the softpedia website of which a percentage of users trying out TEENpup may not have used Puppy Linux or this forum, I decided not to follow Puppy's version numbering system, but to number each version of TEENpup by year so that in 6 months time, someone downloading TEENpup from softpedia will still feel it's a current release. This will hopefully keep the download rate steady, letting TEENpup find it way on to more PC's.
Legacy OS 2017 has been released.
