Sub_title: Wonder how they did it for the small screen displays?

Happy Holidays Everyone,

I just saw this up on Distrowatch and thought someone lucky to have gotten one of these to test on might like a look to let us know about it.

Thanks for Puppy Linux, all it's sizes and shapes are a joy to play and work with.

Happy New Year,
Joan in Reno, NV

So i was really impressed with the look of the OS, so i gave it a download. Linpus are a commercial company. Hence why they try and charge. Not really in the concept of linux, but it's Fedora and they love that kind of stuff.

Anyway, i downloaded it, ran it and had a good look around. It's a pretty standard setup in the 'technical mode' with a XFCE taskbar and dock etc.

BUT it's the other UI that's the most impressive. You click an icon on the desktop and it switches to a 'easy mode' . It basically looks like a exe that runs over the top of the XFCE desktop. The UI is very similar to the Asus eepc Xandros UI, with six-eight big icons and then a set of big menu icons at the top.

I've attached a image below as it speaks a thousand words!

I think something similar would look great in puppy.....

- So where would you start?
- How would you create this?
- Any ideas would be great...
