It's my experience that attitude, whether good or bad, is a top-down thing. I'd just like to say to you, Barry, and Lobster and raffy and Dougal and tempestuous and Pizzasgood and Guestoo and MU and all the other guys who made this distro what it is, Thank You for letting me be a part of the fun. Cool

Have a very Merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Year, one and all.

Cheers

To Barry and all those "crazy" puppies out there...Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

I find it fascinating to watch a new idea being developed such as Puppy for the blind and all the others...some new, some older.

I'm looking forward to the new year....just think what we'll know tomorrow.
EDIT: woofwoof

Be Well,
Eric/caneri

I'm going with the "politically correct" version:

Hope you all have a Happy Holiday Season however you and your family celebrate the passing of the winter solstice.

Best wishes to all my Puppy Friends; be you Jewish, Christian, Muslim or other.

I would like to wish all of you a Happy Christmas / Holidays / Hanukkah / Summer or Winter solstice, or whatever name it is you give to the end of year holiday season in your neck of the woods.

"Santa died for your MasterCard."
It is commercial.
Shocked

Originally just like the Nordic tree, Father Christmas
was a manifestation of the Green Man (a symbol of nature)

Coca Cola wanted to change from a green drink to a red (well reddish)
So they made Santa wear a red costume.

That is marketing.
. . . and that is story telling

Some of the festivals around now include
Diwali (Hindu Festival of Lights)
Eid (End of Ramadan fasting for Muslims)

I don't know much about Hunaka?

Maybe a story . . .
Brought up as a Catholic
I remember as a child, Christmas was a time of great joy
(not everyone has that privilege)
Great food, like Christmas pudding and being allowed
a tiny taste of alcohol Smile
Presents.
A real tree with lights on it, inside the house.
Relatives.

We need the magic. The goodwill.
Do you have a story about your favourite holiday/Christmas?

Merry Christmas and whatnot! Razz We did the whole presents thing early here, due to timing issues, so I'm already on my seasonal sugar high and having a jolly old time Very Happy

To the anti-Christmas twits: Beware!

*no, I didn't make these. Just so that's clear Rolling Eyes

To the people who don't celebrate Christmas but don't feel obligated to tear down those who do, have fun with whatever you're doing, whether it be celebrating something else or just spending another day at the office. Smile

Here is an absolutely stunning photo of the winter solstice, for your desktop background.
