Subject description: 2008-04-20 - a gtk2 2 pane file manager

http://emelfm2.net/

This was compiled in puppy 4 and may not work in other Puppies.

--emelfm2-0.4-puppy.pet--
I modified the source code a bit so the default programs that are associated with various filetypes are actually programs in Puppy. If you have a previous version of emelfm2 installed you'll need to remove the /root/.config/emelfm2 directory. If you don't remove that directory of config files you'll just see emelfm2 how you normally would (w/o my modifications).

--emelfm2-0.4-puppy-gimp-fam.pet--
This package I messed around with the emelfm2 defaults in the make config file. I modified the source code (like above) to default to programs that are in Puppy. This version depends on libfam which is part of Dingo's base iso already but the version in Dingo appears not to work as it should. libfam is for updating/refreshing when files or directories are deleted or changed. I'll post the latest version that I compiled so it will work properly. I also compiled against a couple of libraries from Gimp so I could make use of a thumbnail plugin to view thumbnails of pictures in current directory. This option is found when you right mouse click and select the Plugins->Thumbnail option in the menu. If you already have emelfm2 installed please delete the /root/.config/emelfm2 directory. If you don't have Gimp installed I'll post a package of the 2 libraries that are necessary for this version to work.

--emelfm2-hacked_source_files-0.4.tar.gz--
The source files I hacked to make emelfm2 play nice with Puppy.

plinej,
Thank you for this package.
My favorite 2 panel file manager now works in Dingo 4.00alpha3 too.

Here's the menu I mentioned so you can view thumbnails in the current directory & then the display box that you'll get after you select it.

I like emelfm2-0.3.6 but
when I copy a symbolic link with relative path he become a symbolic link with absolute path
is there a possibility to fix this by default?
Thanks for all your contributions Plinej

Yeah, you can change that in the preferences settings easily. I could probably change the code to make it default that way but that will wait until the next time I compile it.
