Hi,

Introduction
I am experiencing difficulties to make my wireless adapter working and there is nothing about Bewan manufacturer on this forum.
I should be able to reproduce any single action needed to make this working and as I am new to Linux I need somewhere where I can write them down.
That's why I create this topic.

Any help appreciated, so that I can update this "How-To" with an Happy end.

I will use an high detail level so that even a child could follow me.

Configuration
--wifi adapter : Bewan Wi-Fi usb54
--processor : intel pentium III 450mhz

--click Connect icon
--click the icon near Connect to internet by network interface
--see that there is something in Interfaces part and click rausb0
--click Wireless button
--click Ok to confirm the following message :

Note: The interface you have selected uses the module rt2570, which does not support WPA encryption

--configure like this:

Profile Name: MyProfileName
ESSID : FINWIFI

--click Use This Profile
--wait for saving profile to close :!: Will never do :!:

Leaving

At this stage:
Profile Name: MyProfileName
ESSID : FINWIFI

--click Use This Profile
--wait for saving profile to close Exclamation Will never do Exclamation
I do save profile first and then use profile.
I then come to the next screen to test the connection and let dhcp attribute an IP.
But test the connection button first.
But I saw your modem/router is configured for no dhcp. Any reason.
In that case give an IP manually.

P.S. Puppy c'est quand-même du plaisir.

with no hdd, unless you are using multisession cd/dvd, or some other memory device, where is it going to save to? could this be why the save never finishes?
