Can I make ROX look more like Konqueror?

#1 Post by jacatone »

I guess ROX is the default file manager for Puppy 3. Is there a way to make it look like Konqueror with the root and main directories with their sub directories like a tree? Or can I install Konqueror itself into Puppy? Thanks.

1. yes, but you can install another Puppy/jwm compliant one.
2. You could install konqueror but I am afraid it won't run due to missing libraries which are in KDE.
3. You can install KDE and then you have Konqueror.
See: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 90&t=22805 for an example.
Time savers:
Find packages in a snap and install using Puppy Package Manager (Menu).

Forget Konqueror. You need Tux Commander. Search the forum for a download link.

Have you tried uXplor in Menu/Filesystem or is it not in Puppy 3.01.

I'm working in 2.17.1.

For two panel file manager, there is also XFE, Krusador, somethin like uxPlor?, and I recently came across of Atol for which there is a Windows and a Linux versio. Even a pet. http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 03&t=21062

The choice is rich..
