How do I install a dual boot of Pizzapup and XP

#1 Post by jacatone »

Tried installing Pizzapup 3 as a dual boot with XP Pro and totally screwed it up. Had to reinstall XP. Is there a set of instructions for this distro. There were too many confusing questions in the install process. Thanks.

I used the method in http://www.icpug.org.uk/national/linnwi ... 4steps.htm

for dual boot with WinXP Home, with the following in the menu.lst file

Code: Select all

title PizzaPup 3.0beta
kernel (hd0,1)/boot/pizzapup3b/vmlinuz root=/dev/ram0 pfix =debug acpi=force
initrd (hd0,1)/boot/pizzapup3b/initrd.gz
In fact here's much more in the menu.lst file, because I've got 7 puppies in there!

I have no idea if the

Code: Select all

pfix =debug acpi=force
stuff is correct or necessary. Sorry.
