Open Opera from URL in Thunderbird email

Opening Opera when clicking on URLs (browser links) in a Thunderbird email. Took a while to figure out but here it is.
open thunderbird
select Edit
select Preferences
select Advanced tab
click on the "Config Editor" button (bottom right)
( Should open about:config )
type in the filter bar
network.protocol-handler.app.http
If main window is blank then right click in main window and select - new string
or double-click to edit if it exists.
fill in new string as
network.protocol-handler.app.http
enter value
/usr/local/bin/opera
repeat above for https and ftp
( network.protocol-handler.app.https )
( network.protocol-handler.app.ftp )
with the same value
( /usr/local/bin/opera )
of course if Opera is installed somewhere else you will have to change the value to where it is.
This will also work for Firefox etc.
