The alpha version of ChurchPup, the Christian Puppy Linux Derivative has just been released.
The puplet is aimed primarily at Christians but is open to all!
Here is the link for anyone who is interested in testing it out. It's rather large but we hope you think it's worth it.

ChurchPup Ongoing Development Thread
Below is a summary press release from our lead developer, PrairieDog, who sums up the project in better words than I can.
Thanks for reading. Comments welcome (but try to stay on the subject of the puplet and not on the good/bad sides of religion's infiltration into Linux).ChurchPup Alpha is based on Puppy 301 and all of us involved in the project
acknowledge a debt of gratitude to Barry Kauler and all the
members of the community for doing all the really hard work.
LOF on the murga-linux forum has a desire to work on a Christian Puppy
derivative that focused on Bible study, office applications, internet and
email, but also include applications for multimedia presentations, audio
and video editing, and musical notation. It is based on an unleashed
puppy 301 and many packages were left out to simplify the menu and save
space.(It's a BIG Puppy!)
the added packages are as follows:
Gimp 2.4.0-rc3: Graphics editor Works great just wanted to try it out.
Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 2007: a Viewer for .ppt presentations which
have replaced the "overhead projector" in many modern Church services to
display lyrics for worship songs. (the overhead projectors replaced
hymnals I suppose.)
wine-0.9.47-i486-1 : Often called a windows emulator, to run the
aforementioned PowerPoint Viewer.
OpenOffice Suite version 2.2.0
BibleDesktop 1.0.8 : a front end for Jsword, a very versatile Bible
study tool written in Java
jre1.6.0_01 : a java runtime environment. Primarily intended for use by
BibleDesktop but also works with Firefox ,the default browser.
Firefox 2.0.0.9 with the Bible Fox theme by Bodizzle preinstalled and
ProCon Latte (content filter) as an optional install when you first
start the browser.
Thunderbird 2.0.0.4 Email Client
Note:Preferences are preset so that mailto links viewed in Firefox will
open Thunderbird and http links in emails viewed in Thunderbird will
launch Firefox.
Two HTML Bibles, the NET Bible and the WEB Bible. More on the way I think
Adobe Reader 7.0 is the default pdf viewer
Audacity 1.2.3 sound editor
Denemo-0.7.3-b1 front end for Lilypond-2.10 Musical notation software
which is also included.
GXBible: a script that uses gxmessage to display a different Bible verse
each time ChurchPup starts up or when you click the Bible icon on the
desktop. If you don't read the Bible much , Think of it as God's "nag
screen"
Kino 1.0.0 Video Editor
Mplayer 108 Media Player is included mostly for the browser plugin.
VLC 0.8.6 Default Media Player
Xsane image scanner
Xtris: a Tetris clone included by request
Timidity midi player for audio output of Denemo/Lilypond
Last but not least WhoDo's EZPup for exquisite good looks and usability.
to God be the Glory, Amen
