(old)Puppy Linux Discussion Forum

I have a HP 5440 Deskjet and used CUPS to set it up. Could not find the model, so found a .ppd file for the HP 5440, and used it. I print to it from the Puppy box through the network cable to my router and then through a print server. I use an IP address for the printer setup, like socket://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. I have used CUPS for other Linux computers with no problem. I've checked all the entries, and they look OK. Could it be the Puppy Firewall blocking the printer? I have no trouble connecting to the Internet with my setup.
