Add Firefox to MicroMuppy

#1 Post by fedefritz »

I tried to add Firefox to MicroMuppy with no luck.
I copied all the required library and firefox from puppy109 but the program ends with an "segmentation fault" error.
Any ideas or suggestion.
Thanks

download the latest and extract it to anywhere, move the folder Usr/lib and then try it, don't ad or change anything, if that doesn't work then try an older version or try skipstone http://www.muhri.net/skipstone/page.php3?node=download its a super lightweight browser. well have fun

i think ttuuxxx is suggesting downloading & installing the latest ffox version.

the thing with the segmentation fault is, does it give any errors/clues when you try running it from the commandline? say you extracted it to /ffox directory, if you do:

cd /ffox
./firefox (or is it ./firefox-bin ?)

does this generate anything on the commandline? also, does doing:

ldd firefox ( or ldd firefox-bin)

show which library files are missing?
