VODAFONE CONNECT CARD - T-MOBILE CONNECT CARD

#1 Post by antoniof »

Hallo all!

Hope this is the right plase for my question.

If not please pardon me.

Only few days ago i discovered Puppy and i was very impressed by performances offered.

Installing ver. 3.01 - on a usb pen - puppy recognizes most of the hardware built in my laptop -FujitsuSiemens P7010-.(I note some drivers are missing eg. : driver for the Ricoh Co Ltd R5C552 SD Bus Host Adapter and therefore SD cards are not "seen" but that is not so important to me). Network and Wlan cards are both recognized as well as internal Agere soft modem.

One thing which i miss very much is the possibility to use my HSDSPA 3G Datacard (T-Mobile PCMCIA Web'n Walk card)

This cardbus card has GPRS and UMTS capabilities.

After the card is inserted in the PCMCIA slot pupScan finds it among the PCI devices:

DESCRIPTION Option N.V. Quaalcom MSM6275 UMTS Chip
VENDOR: 1931 DEVICE: 000c KERNEL MODULE : unknown

Today i found there is a drive for various distributions of linux for the vodafone connect card (which has the same hardware) at this link:

http://www.vodafonebetavine.net/web/linux_drivers

Can somebody please give me advise how to install driver (and dependencies) in puppy.

Also a link to a general howto would be appreciated.

Thanks
