Given
1 the instructions from goosee
2 a stock kernel tree
3 a correct squashfs patch
4 a correct .config
how can i do a kernel build for Puppy? (and of course where is 3 and 4?)
The first thing im going to do after i have a stock kernel done is compile the atmel drivers so
i can send those to anyone that wants to host them
(note im mostly looking for 3 and 4 i have done a few kernel builds)
Kernel 2.6.12.2 how to compile??
Can't be done natively using Puppy, the tools required aren't included..
If you are asking theses questions I don't belive you are quiet ready yet to try and upgrade to a later kernel version....
Read the Puppy news page to see why Barry decided to go back to the 2.4 series. Unless for have a definite need to use a kernel other than the standard one don't do it...It'll cause alot of heartache
