I had a post earlier about the way I got Sunbird to work in Puppy 1.0.4. I know it wasn't the best way but it worked.
If anyone is interested who can make DotPups, would you consider making one so Sunbird could be installed properly in Puppy 1.0.5?

This is SUNBIRD download at your own pace and will!!!
This puts a folder in /root/my-applications/
named sunbird
inside of the folder is an executable or a gear shaped thingy named sunbird
press 'n' off you go in your sunbird calender
