This is another gtk periodic table, like gperiodic.

To run click on Menu->Utility->Periodic Table, or type gelemental in a console window.

This has practically everything a budding mad scientist would need. It has your ionic radii, electronic configuration. The only thing i think it's missing is an entry for phlogiston.

(N.B. The program has thematic colour as a menu option, however i wasn't able to get this working)

the developer of gelemental kindly apprised me that the colour theme functionality is dependent on which gtk-theme you've selected. so, in the jpeg below, i've changed my gtk-theme to "Basic", and it works 100%.

As an aside, i've highlighted rubidium in the jpeg, as i have fond memories of a high school chemistry class, in the mid-70's, when i pointed to a periodic table & told the student sitting next to me that rubidium was the answer to the meaning of life. i'll never forget the look of absolute bewiderment on the chemistry teacher's face as brian stood up & bellowed to the whole class "Rubidium, Rubidium, that's the answer!"
