X10 USB receiver doesn't completely control Mplayer

#1 Post by Uriens »

Hi folks,

can anybody help me with this problem.
I've got an USB receiver that manufacturer is recognized correctly as "X10 Wireless Technology Inc." under Puppy 2.6.21.5.

When I use Mplayer 1.08 I can control the player by my remote receiver. The problem is, only a few buttons work and the matching isn't correct. Does anybody know if there is a configuration file or something else to set this up right?

I only have some experience with LIRC, but LIRC doesn't support USB receiver!

Thanks for any comments.

I'm amazed that it works at all. Did Puppy automatically recognize the receiver, or did you have to install a driver to get it to work?

Puppy automatically recognize the receiver!!! No additionally drivers had to be loaded.

But it's curiously. :?:

I can change the volume, get the next title and change the skin. But no other buttons work on my remote receiver.

It's an "RF Remote Control" from X10:
Medion
RF Remote Control
P/N 20016398
FCC ID: B4S20016398
Made in China by X10
With gxine nothing happens. Mplayer works with constraints.
There must be a config file or something else to configure the remote receiver? But the etc folder of mplayer provides nothing.

I'm helpless.
Anyone an idea???
