How to cure video panning? Subject description: Xvesa creates a larger desktop than my monitor can display.
Perhaps someone has already encounterd this and can point me in the right direction. Xvesa 1024x768 drives output to my monitor fine (which BTW, supports 1280x1024 natively). But if I choose 1280x1024 through the Xvesa wizard, puppy does indeed create a 1280x1024 desktop but it will only display the upper left 1024x768 of the desktop on my monitor. I can't even pan over to the right or the bottom to see the task bar. Appreciate any help. Puppy is really terrific... I'm just trying to figure out a satisfactory video output configuration. Also, I haven't given up on the Xorg path, I'm just having to use Xvesa in the meantime and would like to have a little more screen real estate.
Thanks,
Martin
