TCL Games questions |
|
I downloaded the tkgame pup package.
How do you play them? Do you need to compile them? If so, how?
I tried ./poker.tcl got access denied. Even tried changing permission.
Thank you for the info.
I tried both e3ne & MP
e3ne poker.tcl or mp poker.tcl
and I got this error package require Tk

try right clicking the file & see what it has under "Set Run Action...". i dloaded both tkgame .pups, and they both worked straight away on my computer. The run action I've got is wish "$@".
this Tkgames.pup contains TkAtaxx, poker & collapse.

this one has collapse, scat, tktris & tripeaks.

there are a few other games available here:
http://tkgames.sourceforge.net/
or you can download a tcl starkit containing 89 games, (some definitely better than others), from here:
http://tkoutline.sourceforge.net/tkgamepack.kit
but to use the starkit, you would also need to dload tclkit, (1Mbyte), from here:
http://www.equi4.com/pub/tk/8.4.9/tclkit-linux-x86.upx.bin
rename this file to tclkit, give it executable permissions, & move it to /usr/bin, then it will work with any tcl .kit files.

To run on my system (puppy 3.01) I had to choose set run action (right click) and after that I open another rox window on /usr/bin and left click and hold on tclsh icon and put it on the "set run action" window.
BTW, Do you know if the poker game is just for training?
I tried to play with it but I could not understand the logic. It seems to me that it is just for training.
Thanks
kkpity

kkpity,
if you're asking me, I know so little about poker, your question is over the top of my head!
