The Hawking HWUG1 USB Wi-Fi adapter works just fine with the Ralink 73 driver. My system tried to use Rt2570 and User DavidMaas suggested I try the Ralink 73 driver.
Thanks to him I have a working system.
This is a great adapter since I got it running I have had no disconnects and it comes with a removable antenna so you can put a high gain unit on if needed.

The only way I could get the HWUG1 to work after a reboot was to perform the following.
Blacklist the rt2570 module using "System/Boot Manager" then add this modprobe entry in my /etc/rc.d/rc.local file "modprobe rt73"
I am still having probems with the network GUI remembering my saved settings but at least the adapter works.
