Cannot resize pup_save in 2.20alpha

#1 Post by tronkel »

I have just tried to resize my pup_save file in 2.20alpha.

I made this file using 2.17.1 and allowed 2.20alpha to use it - after having used puppy pfix=clean. No problem retaining and using the changes made in 2.17.1 except:

On rebooting, the resize did not take place as it should have done.

The puppy resize program seemed to detect the correct remaining space and total space on the home drive, so no problem here.

Something wrong in the start up script probably

For the first time ever, Puppy automatically configured eth0. No other version of Puppy has ever managed that on this machine. Network card was correctly figured from the drivers in 2.17.1. A live CD boot using 2.20 alpha with no pup_save will not set up eth0, but we know this already. I think Barry has found out what was wrong here.

I suspect that the problem Barry has identified with PDEV is the cause.

Yes, a couple of little bugs in the 'init' script had huge repercussions. Anyway, I'll test the resizing.
