I have a Dell Vostro 200 (probably a pretty common new machine) that has an on board Intel network card/chip -- 82562V that is not recognized by the e1000 driver that is shipping in Puppy 3.0. A little poking around on the net indicates that a new version of the e1000 driver from intel supports this network card/chipset. Over on the ubuntu forums, someone has written a HOWTO on how to get and or build an updated e1000 driver for ubuntu:

Can someone give me any tips on how I might do the same for Puppy?
Thanks.
