Can we install software from magazine cover DVDs? Or does it have to be turned into a dotpup/pupget first?

And has anyone installed Google Picasa2, which is now available as a Linux version?

That would depend on the format ofthe files on the DVD's. If it's source then you need to compile it, if it's a binary package then you'll probably just have to use some nifty scripts built into puppy.

How would you normally install from these DVD's? What file extension is used?
