puppy froze and now it's almost dead.

cd-rom drive wont open or read, bios hanging on for dear life and painfully slow. wont read usb.all due to swap. any way to recover?

Its propably an problem with Puppy, try an re-format.

If the BIOS is being flaky the problem is unlikely to be caused by puppy. I can't see how reformatting will help at all. My first guess would be a hardware problem.

unplug all non-essential hardware
reseat all the other connections
