Click on the 2barks file in /usr/share/soundsmonkeyweb wrote:When i have installed puppy,at the first boot,puppy speak "woof woof".

Actions speak louder than words ... and they usually work when words don't!

Isn't there a way of running programs concurrently if using long sound files?
Code: Select all
#!/bin/sh
play /root/puppy-reference/audio/login.wav
exec mozstart "$@"
sage,
the "offending" command is towards the bottom of /etc/profile, where # aplay -N /usr/share/audio/bark.au has been commented out.
if you're worried about burglars, then you could add this line to /root/.xinitrc:
aplay -N /usr/share/audio/2barks.wav &
just above exec $CURRENTWM, then keep them at bay by cycling through control-alt-backspace, then xwin.

Many thanks Paul, Lob. & muggie - much appreciated. Everything around here tends to be experimental! I need to know that sound is working today, not yesterday. All the other distros oblige with their jingles. Not sure why Barry is so reticent about proclaiming his presence.
Never did complete the Woof Woof doorbell project. Maybe will get back to that one, now. It's not burglars that worry me, it's the double glazing and driveway resurfacing gypos that annoy me.
